Rising rentals – is it time to review your investments? By Director of Lettings, Helen Jolly

Over the last year it has been difficult to escape the news of rising house prices, but this has also been the case for rental properties. For example, a well maintained, three bedroom semi-detached house with garage was let in 2019 at £900 and was let again recently, has now achieved £1200 pcm. A 33% increase in three years!

Given the cost of living crisis, we are all now experiencing, it is my opinion that rents will not rise as fast this year but given the shortage in supply I do not anticipate a large drop either. If you are looking to invest your money in the long term, now is a good time to look at bricks and mortar.
